Cantù, February 3 – 5:30 p.m.
Cantù was one of the stops along the route of the Olympic Torch Relay ahead of the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The flame made its way through the city streets amid applause and excitement, carried in relay by iconic figures from the local sporting community.

Among the torchbearers from Cantù were:

• Pierluigi Marzorati, a legend of Italian basketball and former long-time captain of Pallacanestro Cantù

• Riccardo Moraschini, professional athlete and leading figure in Cantù basketball

• Veronica Testoni, ice skater, representing ice sports and the local territory

A moment of great public participation, bringing together different generations under the banner of Olympic values, and celebrating sport as a shared heritage of the community.
